thought that was a bit strange same name and all that, one thing i will say is the new key i have does not have the bulb looking type thing at the front of the remote, i must have been lucky taking a chance with mine but would hazard a guess its the one minus the led type thing at the front that works the mk 2 galaxys might be able to sell my old key on ebay then.

The bulb bit is the InfraRed transmitter, its like your TV remote.

Mk2 is RF (radio frequency)

@ Mirez, i would need whole key, transponder and all, thanks though

Hi again

The PATS chip for the 02 galaxy , i recall seeing it mentioned its a philips transponder.

any chance of the part number and a picture... or should i dig out the chip from my flat spare?

Can no one confirm the transponder chip type for this key? - i seen lots and just dont know what type to get

ID33 Casing, made by Philips. Used to carry part number PCF7931XP/SQ back in 2000 - not sure if that's still the case but the one you show above is an ID44 casing
